University of Sanya(USY) is a comprehensive university located in Sanya, Hainan Province.

Excellent Location and National Policy Support

Hainan Province as a tropical island at the southernmost of China is a charming island full of vitality and opportunity with the most preferential policies and the highest degree of openness in China.

Hainan enjoys a favorable geographical location, with Qiongzhou Strait facing Guangdong Province in the north, Beibu Gulf in the west opposite Vietnam, and the Philippines, Brunei and Malaysia in the southeast and south. Hainan is a regional center connecting Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, and is a maritime gateway between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Since April 2018, Hainan has been advancing the construction of a free trade port with the strong support from the central government of the People’s Republic of China. As China’s largest special economic zone, largest free trade pilot zone and only free trade port with Chinese characteristics, Hainan is committed to building into a comprehensive deepening reform and opening up pilot zone, a national ecological civilization pilot zone, an international tourism consumption center, and a major strategic service guarantee zone.

Hainan will implement investment and trade liberalization and facilitation, implement special taxation policies, and create special areas for customs supervision with international competitiveness and influence. Until now, the number of market entities has grown rapidly from 610,000 to 940,000, including 28 Fortune 500 companies.

Hainan has comprehensive transportation systems that link to the world. At present, there are 103 international routes serving 62 major cities overseas. Hainan will continue to develop and encrypt international air routes and container liner routes to strengthen air and maritime interconnections with countries around the world, and further promote cultural and economic exchanges.

Hainan is proud of its excellent ecological environment. The climate is pleasant all year round, with plenty of sunshine, fresh air and pure water. Its annual average temperature is 23-26 degrees Celsius (73.4-78.8 degrees Fahrenheit), the annual air quality days account for more than 99.8%, and the forest coverage rate reaches 62.1%.

Hainan is an internationally renowned tourist destination. As China's only tropical island, Hainan's tourism resources are extremely rich-1944 kilometers of coastline, 68 wonderful bays, 81 mountains above 1,000 kilometers, more than 280,000 acres of national forest parks, more than 70 Natural hot spring.

 Located on southern Hainan Island, the city of Sanya is the only city in China that can enjoy?a?tropical rainforest and ocean scenery at the same time. The city is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the three beautiful landscapes of mountains,?the?sea,?and rivers merge naturally. Many?of its?hilltops also offer views of?the sea, river bay,?and urban landscape. The?natural scenery and excellent ecological environment make Sanya a paradise for daily living, travel,?and vacations. The city has won the titles of "National Ecological Demonstration Zone", "National Garden City", "National Health City", and "China Habitat Environment Award".

Hainan 59 Country Visa-Free Entry Policy

Including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and other countries 54 countries enjoy visa-free entry policy. Travelers from the 59 visa-free entry eligible countries may travel from or through Hong Kong or any other places outside Mainland China with a direct flight to Hainan. The maximum length of stay for visa free travelers in Hainan is 30 days. Travelers who need to travel to other parts of China must apply for a visa.

USY is Established and sponsored by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely) which is a Chinese technology conglomerate that specializes in automobiles. Geely ranked No. 243 in the Fortune Global 500. With the strong support from Geely in its industrial and educational chains and platform resources, USY has come into deep cooperation with Jingdong, Transfer, Alibaba, SAXO-Bank and other leading enterprises in the fields of online shopping platform, cross-border e-commerce, logistics, financial service, etc. USY co-builds 10 industrial institutes with these leading enterprises. They are Green Energy Pure Hydrogen Industrial Institute, Geely Xingrui Data Intelligence Industrial Institute, Geely Industrial Internet Industrial Institute, New Energy and Intelligent Automobile Industry Institute, Transfar Supply-Chain Management Industrial Institute, JD Intelligent Logistics Industrial Institute, Saxo Financial Technology Industry Institute, Health and Wellness Industrial Institute, Fuxing Smart Tourism Industrial Institute and Vehicle Innovation Design Industrial Institute. Two more industrial institutes are under construction. These industrial institutes help to realize the interactive turning from educational link to industrial one, and vice versa.

Geely Education under Geely Holding Group develops Xinwei. Guided by “education tailored for each individual”, Xinwei is an online learning platform prioritizing user needs and connecting with premium education resources. It explores innovative educational and pedagogical methods, and leverages digital technology to craft personalized learning solutions for learners.

USY has built a cluster of eight “Exploratory Labs/Centers” which are used by the famous Chinese and foreign academicians like Zhai Mingguo, Chen Guoliang and Rong Chunming for their workstations as well as the academic staffs for the scientific researches and their application. The elites from the related industries and businesses are also invited to have their teaching and experiments there. The eight “Exploratory Labs/Centers” are New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicle Engineering Center, the Industrial Product Design Exploratory Lab, Financial Innovation and Multi-Assets Intelligent Transaction Lab, the Supercomputing Center, the Intelligent Digital Logistics and Supply Chain Industry-University Collaborative Innovation Lab, the Experimental Teaching Center of School of Health and Medicine, the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and the Comprehensive Practical Center of the School of Sociology. The students make good use of the labs or centers under guidance to experiment, practice, innovate, test, and apply.

So far, USY has established partnerships with more than 90 universities or colleges in England, Canada, Switzerland, Russia, U.S.A., Germany, Spain, Italy, Korea, France, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan etc. Since 2017 to 2023, USY has hosted five sessions of the Forum for ASEAN-China Private Higher Education Development and Cooperation. In December 2018, the “China―ASEAN Private University Alliance" (ACAPHEI) initiated by USY was officially launched at Sanya. The Forum and the ACAPHEI win the support of the ASEAN-China Center(ACC), the Southeast Asian Minister of Education Organization Regional Center for Higher education and Development (SEAMEO RIHED), the Department of Education of Hainan Province, the Government of Sanya City and China Association for Non-Government Education. USY has provided degree and language training programs for international students since 2011.

USY has 15 schools and 10 industrial institutes,which cover nine disciplines encompassing Law, Literature, Economics, Management and Engineering etc. USY accommodates a student population of over 25,000. The university covers an area of 200 hectares boasting of “a university built in forest”. The university has been facilitated with a variety of labs and studios, student center, museums and an arts center, libraries, auditoriums, swimming pool, stadiums, gym, athletic fields, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, campus clinic, cinema, supermarkets, fruit shops, student canteens, food kiosks, international chain restaurants, national-branded milk and coffee bars, post office, delivery hubs, and printing shops.

USY is composed of three campuses One can walk or take campus shuttle or sharing electric scooter on campus. The university provides dorms for the students. For international students, two students of the same gender share one room with window view and a bathroom.

The must-visit scenic spots:

1. Nanshan Temple: a national 5A scenic spot, a Buddhist temple with attractive sea view, and oriental style gardens, especially the magnificent and elegant 108-meter-height Bodhisattva Statue erecting on the seaside, which can be seen from a plane window on the route to Sanya on a fine day

2. Wuzhizhou Island, a national 5A scenic spot compared to Maldives in China, a diving base, a hideaway

3. Daxiaodongtian Park, a national 5A scenic spot, a famous Taoism cultural park, visitors can climb the mountain to have a good birdview of the glistening sea

4. Tianyahaijiao Park, the park’s Chinese name means the end of world, a national 4A scenic spot, a good place for couples to vow their oath of forever love

5. West Island, a national 4A scenic, visitors need to take boat to reach the island to enjoy the charming natural views, local fishermen’s village and the aquatic sports

Traffic in Sanya is convenient: taxi, bus, tramcar, online car hailing, sharing bike.

How to apply

Application requirements

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport.

2. Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy, meeting the medical examination standards required for obtaining a Chinese study visa or residence permit.

3. Applicants for the master’s degree program must hold a bachelor’s degree or above.

4. Applicants’ Chinese language proficiency must be equivalent to HSK-4 level or above. Whoever fails to meet this language proficiency requirement will attend the Intensive Chinese language course and take the HSK test.

The Master program applicants must provide the following materials truly and correctly.

1. Copy of valid passport.

2. Digital ID photo with white background, JPG /100kb-600kb.

3. Notarized most recent diploma, graduation certificate, or proof of current student status.

4. Notarized college transcripts.

5. Research plan, which includes undergraduate study background and the study plan of Master program in China. No less than 600 Characters in Chinese or English.

6. Original document or photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (must be issued by Chinese quarantine authority) received within 6 months.

7. Non-criminal record. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

8. Recommendation letters should be sealed and submitted from two teachers of the University or college where they graduated.

9. APPLICATION FORM FOR USY MASTER PROGRAM, completed in either Chinese or English. Handwritten signature is required at the signature.

10. Letter of Guarantor, completed in either Chinese or English. Immediate family members are required to fill in either Chinese or English and attach a valid ID. Handwritten signature is required at the signature.

1.All above documents in languages other than English or Chinese must be attached with notarized English or Chinese translations.

2.Two original copies of EACH of the above documents are submitted at the time of on-campus registration.

3.ALL application documents will NOT be returned.

Enrollment

1.On receiving the application, USY will screen examination on applicants’ qualification and materials, then a team of experts will conduct a comprehensive examination on applicants’ Chinese and English proficiency, professional competence, and research potential, etc.

2. Applicants who meet the enrollment standards will be enrolled into the major they apply for. The list of postgraduate scholarship will be released by USY and informed to whoever is awarded the scholarship.

3. The List of Pre-admission will be released online application system. The Admission Letter and will be sent to the applicant’s registered email address. Applicants should make sure that the email address and the contact details are reachable.

4. The applicants who received the Admission Letter and the JW202 apply for X1 visa. In 30 days on entrance into China, the holders of the X1 visa will apply for Residence Permit for Study with the assistance of the International Office’s staff.

Graduation and Degree Awarding

To obtain the graduate graduation certificate and degree certificate recognized by the Ministry of Education of China, one should

1.complete the required credits, passing the dissertation defense, and meet the requirements for degree awarding; and

2. pass the Chinese language proficiency test required for master’s degree.

In 2024, University of Sanya is going to set up eight master majors. The new majors are International Business, Finance, Music, Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, Applied Psychology, Laws (Law Major/Non-Law Major), Translation and Interpretation. The final list of newly added master majors will be subject to the official approval of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China (MOE). 海南59國免簽入境政策

包括印度尼西亞、馬來西亞、菲律賓、新加坡、泰國等59個(gè)國家享受免簽證入境政策。來自59個(gè)符合免簽證入境條件的國家的旅客可以從香港或中國大陸以外的任何其他地方出發(fā)或過境乘坐直飛海南的航班。免簽證旅客在海南停留的最長期限為30天。需要前往中國其他地區(qū)的旅客必須申請簽證。

獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金

特等國際獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：28,000元/年

國際獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：14,000元/年

說明：

1.獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的資助年限：社會工作和旅游管理專業(yè)資助年限為2年，電子信息專業(yè)資助年限為3年。

2.獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金用于抵扣學(xué)費(fèi)。

住宿費(fèi)及其他費(fèi)用

住宿費(fèi)

2800元/人/學(xué)年，住宿費(fèi)減免。

其他費(fèi)用

1.注冊費(fèi)400元/人。

2.體檢費(fèi)：343元。

3.居留許可證：每年800元。

4.保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)：每年800元 （購買來華留學(xué)生綜合醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)，該保險(xiǎn)是針對留學(xué)生發(fā)生的疾病和意外情況。）

注：以上費(fèi)用金額可能存在浮動(dòng)，具體以學(xué)生入學(xué)后繳費(fèi)當(dāng)年官方發(fā)布為準(zhǔn)。

如何申請

申請條件

1.非中國籍公民，持有效外國護(hù)照。

2.身心健康，須達(dá)到辦理來華學(xué)習(xí)簽證或居留證件的體檢標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。

3.具有相當(dāng)于中國學(xué)士學(xué)位或以上的學(xué)歷。

4.語言水平:申請者的漢語水平應(yīng)達(dá)到HSK4級或相當(dāng)水平。漢語達(dá)不到要求者，入學(xué)后將參加漢語強(qiáng)化班并參加HSK考試。

提交申請材料

1. 護(hù)照個(gè)人信息頁復(fù)印件。

2. 電子版白色底色證件照片，JPG 格式，大小在100kb-600kb之間。

3. 經(jīng)公證的最高學(xué)歷證書、畢業(yè)證或在讀證明。 

4. 經(jīng)過公證的大學(xué)成績單。

5. 研究計(jì)劃，需闡明本科學(xué)習(xí)背景和來華就讀研究生階段的學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃，字?jǐn)?shù)不少于600字，中英文均可。

6. 《外國人體檢記錄和健康證明書》（由中國衛(wèi)生檢疫部門統(tǒng)一印制的原件或復(fù)印件），有效期6個(gè)月。

7. 無犯罪證明。中英文以外文本需附經(jīng)公證的中文或英文的譯文。

8. 畢業(yè)學(xué)校教師的推薦信兩份，并加蓋公章。

9. 《三亞學(xué)院外籍學(xué)生入學(xué)申請表》，用中文或英文填寫，簽字處需手寫簽字。 

10. 《在華事務(wù)擔(dān)保書》，需直系親屬填寫并附上有效證件，用中文或英文填寫，簽字處手寫簽名。

說明：

1.以上所有文件使用的語言如果不是英語或漢語，學(xué)生需提供經(jīng)過公證的英語或漢語翻譯文本。

2.紙質(zhì)版材料一式兩份，在入學(xué)報(bào)到時(shí)提交。

3.所有申請文件一律不予退還。

錄取流程

1.收到申請后，我校將對申請人的資格及申請材料進(jìn)行初審，并對語言能力、專業(yè)素質(zhì)、研究潛力等方面綜合審查。

2. 我校將根據(jù)申請人的資格審查和考核結(jié)果，結(jié)合申請人填報(bào)的專業(yè)志愿擇優(yōu)錄取。獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲獎(jiǎng)名單以學(xué)校統(tǒng)一公布的結(jié)果為準(zhǔn)。

3. 我校將通過網(wǎng)上報(bào)名系統(tǒng)發(fā)布預(yù)錄取結(jié)果。電子版《錄取通知書》和《外國留學(xué)人員來華確認(rèn)表》將通過郵件發(fā)出，請確保報(bào)名系統(tǒng)填寫的電子郵箱地址和聯(lián)系電話有效可用。

4. 被錄取的申請人持《錄取通知書》和《外國留學(xué)人員來華確認(rèn)表》到中國使(領(lǐng))館申請X1簽證，并在入境中國后30天內(nèi)將X1 簽證轉(zhuǎn)換成學(xué)習(xí)類居留許可.

畢業(yè)與學(xué)位授予

修滿規(guī)定學(xué)分，通過學(xué)位論文答辯，且符合學(xué)位授予條件者，并達(dá)到畢業(yè)要求的中文水平等級，可獲得中國教育部認(rèn)可的研究生畢業(yè)證書和學(xué)位證書。

2024年，三亞學(xué)院擬新增國際商務(wù)、金融、設(shè)計(jì)、音樂、國際中文教育、應(yīng)用心理、法律（法學(xué)/非法學(xué)） 、翻譯等8個(gè)碩士專業(yè)。最終實(shí)際新增招生專業(yè)將以中華人民共和國教育部正式批復(fù)后的專業(yè)名單為準(zhǔn)，相關(guān)招生信息將陸續(xù)更新。
